British Airways

British Airways plc (LSE: BAY) is the United Kingdom's national airline and official flag carrier. Its main hubs are London Heathrow and London Gatwick. British Airways is a founding member of the Oneworld airline alliance and is one of the largest airlines in Europe.

Until recently, British Airways flew mostly Boeing airplanes, but in November 1998 it placed its first order for aircraft designed by Airbus. The company's next major order was the start of its replacement of its long haul fleet, ordering Boeing 787s and Airbus A380s in 2007. The backbone of the airline's long haul fleet is the Boeing 747-400 - and British Airways is the largest operator of this aircraft.

With their franchise and codeshare partners British Airways flys to more than 300 destinations worldwide.
