Estonian Air was founded in 1991 by their parent company, Scandinavian Airline Systems. The airline ownership includes the founders, the Estonian Government, and SAS Group & Investment Bank AS Cresco. Estonian Air has Tallinin Airport as the hub for their fleet of seven (7) aircraft with three on order.Estonian Air prides itself on being recognised as a European air carrier. In 2009, the airline (in cooperation with Spa Tervis & Strand Spa and Conference Hotel in Parnu) announced as a seasonal offering that they would fly to Parnu twice weekly. This new route will turn Parnu into one of Scandinavia's most important transit airports offering convenient connections to Europe, North America, and Asia for leisure and business.
Estonian Air's Frequent Flyer program is named EuroBonus.
