Paddington, The City, the top shopping destination in Brisbane with over 1,000 shops, and Fortitude Valley, have anchor stores, designer and vintage fashions, antiques, and collectibles. Make sure to attend the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane. Gourmet grocers offer a selection of handmade crafts by local artisans, local produce, and gourmet foods.

The dining scene in Brisbane offers a wide array of culinary experiences. The City District has an array of good coffee houses and cafes. M&A Lane has bars and restaurants that serve local dishes and international cuisine. Papa Jack's, a hot nightspot, is a New Orleans-style bar.

Outdoor dining is a fun option when you're visiting Brisbane. Enjoy spectacular views of the city from one of the rooftop bars, or enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner at one of the riverfront restaurants. Brisbane even has a number of restaurants and cafes that serve organic and vegetarian dishes for the health conscious.
