Continental Airlines is a US air carrier. Based in central Houston, Texas, it's the fourth-largest airline in the US based on cash passenger miles. Continental operates flights to destinations across the U.S, Canada, South America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions. Along with its subsidiaries it has more than four thousand daily flights, serving 133 domestic and 132 global destinations and has 43,246 workers (as of June 2009). Principal operations are from its 3 centers at Newark Liberty Global airfield ( in Newark, New Jersey ), George Bush Intercontinental airfield ( in Houston, Texas ), and Cleveland Hopkins International airfield ( in Cleveland, Ohio ).
