Frontier Airlines is an airline for the American west. Founded in 1994, Frontier Airlines, Inc is branded a low cost carrier, based in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. . Nicknamed the "Mile High City", Denver International Airport is hub to Frontier Airlines. Frontier Airlines operates flights throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico with 2/3 of the domestic destinations west of the Mississippi in the United States. From the airline's beginning, Frontier considered itself a regional carrier with a great deal of winter service to Rocky Mountain ski resorts in and around Denver such as Santa Fe, Steamboat Springs and also Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. Due to the airline's base and the pilots regional knowledge of the terrain and weather conditions, it was easy for Frontier to make itself a de-facto expert airline for covering the often tricky runways in the towns of this area during peak ski season.Frontier has a fleet size of 50 aircraft, serving 50 often breath-taking destinations.
