Northwest Airlines
Northwest Airlines is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. It is a major US airline and is headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota. As of 2006, Northwest was the sixth biggest airline in domestic and global booked passenger miles flown and the U.S.'s 6th biggest airline vis domestic passenger miles flown. As well as operating one of the biggest domestic route networks in the U.S, Northwest carries more passengers across the Pacific Sea ( 5.1 million in 2004 ) than any other US carrier, and carries more domestic air load than any other US passenger airline. It's the only US mixture carrier ( passenger and load service ) operating dedicated Boeing 747 freighters.
