Emirates Airlines Tayaran al-lmarat ,was formed 25 May, 1985. Emirates Airlines hubs at Dubai International Airport, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization.In terms of international passengers carried, SkyTrax labelled the Emirates brand the world's eighth largest. Serving 62 countries, Emirates flies to 100 destinations with the only one of six fleets in the world to operate an all wide-body aircraft fleet. Audits of the airlines passenger manifest reveal a 3,710 average weekly passenger count.
Emirates is ranked the largest airline in the Middle East in terms of revenue, not an easy feat in a region where there a great deal of travelers, and a number of airlines vying for that traffic base. As of 2009, Emirates is the fifth largest in terms of scheduled international passengers kilometres- 21.2 million passengers. Emirates Cargo Division; Emirates Sky Cargo in financial year 2007/2008 carried 1.3 million tons of air cargo.
