Getting to central Stockholm from Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN)

Arlanda Airport is about 40 km north of Stockholm. There are several ways into the city, with a big price gap between the fastest and cheapest options.

• Arlanda Express is the fastest option at 18 minutes to Stockholm Central Station. Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes from Arlanda South (Terminals 2, 3, 4) and Arlanda North (Terminal 5). This is a private service, so standard SL travel cards are not valid.
• Flygbussarna coaches depart every 15 to 30 minutes from outside each terminal to Stockholm City Terminal, next to Central Station. The trip takes 35 to 45 minutes.
• SL commuter train via Marsta is the budget option. Take SL bus 583 from Sky City (between Terminals 4 and 5) to Marsta station, then transfer to the pendeltag commuter train into Stockholm. Total journey is about 55 to 65 minutes but is covered by a standard SL travel card with no extra fee. Boarding the commuter train directly from Arlanda station inside the airport triggers an extra passage supplement on top of your SL fare.
• Taxis queue outside each terminal. Sweden's taxi market is deregulated, so fares vary between companies. Check the price displayed on the rear side window before getting in.

Arlanda has two terminal zones that are not within easy walking distance. Check which terminal your airline uses before heading to the train or bus.
